Bootsie was born in 2010 and lived with a family who had children, another cat and a dog. This was all far too stressful for him and, as a result, he was quite poorly as a kitten.
At five years old, he was rehomed. Initially, things weren’t all sweetness and light – he was quite spicy and would scratch and bite, but over the years he and his new owner got used to each other and he became quite laid back. His owner gave him the best life she could think of: the best food and treats, a copious amount of toys (most of them didn’t meet his expectations) and loads of soft blankets and huts. Even had the garden was made more cat friendly by installing climbing steps and a look -out – and the little lawn area. At first, Bootsie was very shy and scared of visitors but slowly, he became a real party animal: he would always put an appearance in on all of his birthday parties! Yep, he got birthday parties with all the trimmings!
Last year, after celebrating his 15th birthday in style, some of his old illness resurfaced. Although he bounced back, be become unwell again soon after, and sadly passed away quite suddenly. Hopefully his portrait will evoke happy memories for many years to come – you can read more about memorial pet portraits here.
That’s my Bootsie to a Tee! He looks gorgeous! Thank you so much!
