I have a passion for wildlife, and nothing gives me greater pleasure than seeing animals in their natural environment. This red fox coloured pencil portrait aims to convey the thrill of a chance encounter with a fox in the wild, and capture that fleeting moment of eye contact which is gone for ever when the animal moves away. Drawing without a background focuses attention on the subject in a stark, contemporary study.
