This memorial pet portrait features Poppy – or Ponk as she was known – a very loving, loyal, funny, naughty, cheeky, full of energy working Cocker Spaniel. She was only seven weeks old when her owners picked her up, and was just four days away from her 13th birthday when she passed away. But she lived life to the full, walked lots, had lots of fun and adventures – her favourite place was Beddgelert in Wales where she loved to swim in all the surrounding lakes and streams.
Poppy was a naughty monkey a lot of the time, but in a comical way she had so many little antics, stealing a shoe, sock or remote control, and barked a lot at the pigeons in the garden, but she was the most loving girlie who loved a cuddle and kiss, and to cuddle up under a blanket on cold night. She absolutely loved people and other dogs, and made many friends on our walks – her favourite being her best buddy Barney (Golden Retriever) who she is back with now at rainbow bridge, no doubt causing havoc like they normally did.
Wow just wow thank you so much her drawing is so beautiful, made me cry straight away, it has captured her perfectly. You are absolutely amazing, so talented.
